A portrait of Jacques Doniol-Valcroze (1920-1989), one of the founders of Cahiers du cinéma, writer, combatant during the war, critic, screnwriter, director, actor and painter. Mediator and mobilizer, he was behind the founding of the Société des réalisateurs de film (SRF) and the Directors’Fortnight.
