MARIE ET LE NOUVEAU MONDE (Venezuela, 2009, 57’)
In the mountains of Venezuela, stands Colonia Tovar, a Bavarian town in the heart of the tropics. Maria, a Venezuelan woman lives in the town’s garbage dump, separated from her daughter. She survives collecting cans and bottles surrounded by hordes of abandoned dogs.
